Welcome, Rachel!

Please help us give a warm welcome to our new Staff Educator and CNA Program Coordinator, Rachel! We are so excited to have her on campus. Here is a little bit about her:

“Hi! My name is Rachel Deringer, and I am so happy to be working for Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2011 and I truly enjoy it. I love caring for others; everyone is so unique and special! I also love to teach nursing to others and I am excited to teach the Nurse Aide Course this spring. I have been married to my husband Dalton for 20 years and I have three children: Elijah, Adalina, and Evie, who have blessed me in so many ways. I enjoy being outside in the summertime, and I can never get enough sun! I also love gardening, traveling, music, and road trips. In the summer, one of my favorite things is to go somewhere where I can sit outside and listen to a live band play. I thank God for this life!”

Here is what Kevin Larson, our Administrator/CEO has to say about her:

“Rachel has been an incredible addition to our leadership team and rolled up her sleeves on her very first day on the job. Rachel is digging in and getting numerous programs and services going that had been put on the “back burner” while we were focused on fending off COVID during a pandemic. Rachel is preparing to re-start our Certified Nursing Assistant Training program, improving our quality report processes, and assisting staff with skill enhancement and professional development.”

Welcome, Rachel!
