Please help us welcome Danielle Smith, our new Director of Resident and Social Services! Below is a little bit about her:
“Before coming to Spring Valley Health and Rehab, I worked as the Executive Director for an agency that had group homes all across Western Wisconsin. I worked there for six years, until they closed last November. I truly have a passion for long-term care, and am very excited to get to know the residents and staff here! I look forward to bringing my administrative and organizational skills to the social services department, and continuing Renee’s amazing activity program. I am very excited to create relationships with the residents here, and their families. I have big shoes to fill, and I hope I can continue Renee’s legacy and honor all that she has done here!
I was born and raised in Baldwin, and live there with my husband, James, two kids, Kyle and Kolton, and our dog, Cooper. Currently, my only hobby is spending as much time as I can with my daughter and new baby! An interesting fact about me is that from a very young age, I grew up going to different care facilities with my Grandma to visit residents; I have many childhood memories of playing in the nursing home and visiting numerous residents, so I feel that I was destined to work in this field, and am honored and grateful to be here!!”
