Soup’r Stew B4 it Gets Chili
On October 10th, we held a “Soup’r Stew B4 it Gets Chili” contest! Congrats to Heather Stewart, one of our R.N.’s, on the top prize! She made turkey chili and homemade cornbread. Thank you to all who participated – a great time was had by all!
Halloween “Boo-tique”
On Saturday October 26th, Taylor McFarland and Tara Amundson (pictured with Activity Aide Madison Langer) hosted their annual “Boo-tique.” Taylor and Tara, along with Taylor’s parents, Randy and Shannon McFarland, bring in all kinds of props and pieces of costumes. They help residents pick out a costume for Halloween, and put it together. They even go and purchase any other necessary items that they may need for a costume. They also bring in donuts from the Spring Valley Bakery in the morning for all staff and residents before they open up their Boo-tique! Thank you for bringing this great activity to our residents every year. You guys rock!
Spooktacular Singing
The day before Halloween these first graders from School District of Spring Valley came and sang Halloween songs to residents. It was a spooktacular performance!
Halloween Party
What a great time at our Halloween Party! Trista Falde, Miss Spring Valley, came and played Halloween Bingo with the residents. Steve Szydel entertained guests with his singing (along with Kyle Smith, daughter of Danielle Smith, our Director of Resident Services). We loved seeing everyone in their costumes and so did the residents! Thank you everyone! 🎃
