Transfer of Ownership to the Village of Spring Valley Completed July 15th

The Village of Spring Valley and Spring Valley Health Care Services Inc. are excited to announce the transfer of ownership of the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center to the Village of Spring Valley on July 15th, 2019. A partnership with the Spring Valley Health Care Services Board of Directors and the Village of Spring Valley has been worked on diligently over the past several months to make municipal ownership possible. A management agreement has been put in place for Spring Valley Health Care Services, Inc. to continue to oversee day to day operations of the facility and staff.

With this transfer of ownership, the care center is ensured additional resources to remain open for the community of Spring Valley and beyond and retain local management. Both the Spring Valley Village Board and the Spring Valley Health Care Services Board of Directors are grateful for the opportunity to continue to maintain the same level of care and services to better serve the community and its residents. Kevin Larson, Administrator and CEO of Spring Valley Health Care Services Inc. says, “This is a great thing for all parties involved. Our community will have a strong care center for years to come.” Mary Ducklow, a representative from the Village Board says, “The Village Board recognizes the vital contribution and services the Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center provides to our community. We believe this partnership provides for the sustainability of the organization.”

Spring Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center offers personalized nursing care and rehabilitative and supportive services on a beautiful rural campus that promotes healing and recovery. The services offered promote and assist in a person’s recuperation from illness, injury, or surgery. A friendly and experienced staff of professional nurses, certified caregivers, and registered therapists, all play a vital role in a resident’s care planning team. It is the goal of the rehabilitation therapies to ensure that residents reach their highest level of independence, enabling them to return home after a period of rehabilitation.
